Good morning,
After sifting through tons of pages and looking for answers everywhere, i came across a few posts on different blogs pointing at you to be the one to ask about a possible problem i am having with my new WoW mouse. I understand you are not tech support, and apologize for waisting any of your time, but you seem to be the only person out there that knows much about the mouse.
OK, so heres the problem. I have the mouse plugged in, and have had the software from steelseries website installed and reinstalled a number of times. I have even switched the USB port the mouse is plugged into a few time in hopes that the mouse would install the correct drivers. The mouse is currently acting as a normal mouse, with the primary buttons working as well as the scroll wheel. The LED is pulsating the amber default color it is set to. The remaining 10 buttons are not responding to being pressed and when i try to change the color to the LED from the program, it stays the amber color.
Just wanted to know if you had any ideas on what the problem might be, as well as any solutions you might have for it. Thank you for your time and i look forward to hearing back from you.

try uninstaling you old software version and downloading then new on if you receive any further problem i would bring it up with support.

I have the same problem the extra 10 buttons are not working when in World of warcraft. In the configuration panel they do get selected when I press them. But when I wanna use the mouse while playing WOW nothing. Just the normal mouse bottons working.

No idea if my suggestions will help you.. but this is how i maked it to work.
1. I uninstalled mouse with software.
2. Installed software without mouse pluged in.
3. Pluged mouse in.
4. Restarted PC
5. Turned on software from minibar (next to clock) set all desired functions.
6. Launched WoW and voila they work now :D

o just so u know the revision of the mouse has launched and coupled with the new version of the software their thinking that their shouldnt be anymore problems
My MMO Gaming mouse can no longer find characters on the Armory. When I try to put in a new character profile it says "character not found"
try installing the ltest update of the software. make sure your firewall is no blocking access to the internet for the software. if this does not fix it bring it up with steelseries support

If you are having the same problem I had with 1.06's software. In order to fix buttons not working and changing illuminations, what I did was opened up the software and clicked Tools. Then I changed the polling rate to 250 mHZ and let it load up and then changed it back to 100 mHZ.
it's a peic3e of crap do not buy this mouse. It keeps on disconnecting when playing Wow usually at the most critical moments. Then the buttons stop working one-by-one & the software crashes most of the time
Just wanted people to know:
1) I’ve not had the static shock issue with this mouse.
2) this is my second wow mouse (same ones both of them)
3) after about a year (with the first) and six months (now with this second one) the mouse pointer is “jittering” it’s as if someone is controlling the mouse pointer remotely. but this happens when not online as well and also on other computers. it’s the mouse. It moves phantomly around the screen while also accepting user inputs. so moving it in a slow, straight line would cause a jagged line in that general direction. has anyone else had this. this is the second time I will be sending this model of mouse in for replacement. they offered to ship me the newer cata version this time. I’ll give it a try or i’m just going to ebay it and go with Razer.
I cannot get wow to recognise the mouse using the ingame option of "detect wow gaming mouse". Anyone else had this issue?
Same just happened to me after this little patch I applied this morning.
I am not having any issues whatsoever with the buttons on the mouse, however when I have the mouse plugged in it will not move my on screen cursor no matter what I do. I have changed the polling hz, as well as uninstalled and reinstalled software multiple times. It is my first replacement mouse from SteelSeries and this one is having the same issues that my original mouse had. Any way to get a quick fix for this?
I am having the same issue as sbochee, my wow mouse is plugged in and everything else works normally i just cannot move my cursor. I have a second mouse plugged in to check all the options i can change the illumination and the buttons work but i cant get it to move. any help is appreciated.
